We have an opening for Coordinator (Commercial Truck Driving) at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
-Supervise, evaluate, and coordinate work assignments and schedules of department faculty -Train faculty in DOT standards, Chattanooga State policies and procedures, and department processes and policies -Supervise programs at multiple locations -Conduct DOT third party testing and oversee third party testing processes -Manage and maintain the resources of the department including tractors, trailers, and facilities -Maintain and record all student grades, attendance, and other records -Promote, support, and participate in student recruitment, placement, and retention efforts -Develop relationships with the local trucking industry to insure student placement and the donation of equipment and supplies -Develop an annual budget and plan expenses according to budget guidelines -Participate in the annual COE report process -Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines -Perform other job-related duties as assigned
*Education: Certificate from an accredited truck-driving program.
*Work Experience: Five year’s experience as a commercial truck driver.
*Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree; DOT Certification as a Third Party Tester.
*Work Experience: Teaching experience; prior management experience
