Scheduling Coordinator - Arrhythmia Dept
Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours per 2 week Pay Period: 80
Primary Location: TN > CHATTANOOGA > CHATTANOOGA HEART - MAIN
Responsible for making patient appointments, rescheduling appointments and no-shows and answering all incoming scheduling calls from patients, referring physicians and hospitals in relation to the Arrhythmia Department.
Essential Responsibilities: Check patients in at time of appointment, this includes but is not limited to verifying insurance, updating demographics, completion of HIPAA forms and creating a fee ticket for the clinical staff.
Check patients out - this includes but is not limited ot making a return appointment, collecting account balance, copays, co-insurance, creating recall.
Receive and respond timely to patient calls regarding Arrhythmia appointments.
Cover for the Arrhythmia Clerk position as needed.
Weekly recall report - Call the patients, schedule appointments and send reminder card per guidelines.
Receive and complete scheduling tasks within the practice management system.
Ensure device schedules are filled and scheduled appropriately including making reminder calls to patients.
Attend Arrhythmia staff meetings to ensure an understanding of new processes and discussion opportunities.
Proactive participation in ensuring appropriate patient access into the practice.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: One or more years in a medical office environment
