Stockroom Clerk I The Stockroom Clerk I (Temporary) will share the responsibility for the flow of inventory.
Receives, ships, stocks and distributes parts and equipment to manufacturing personnel.
Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, parts and supplies for sorting.
This is an entry-level position. General Functions
-- Locate, retrieve and issue materials requested for disbursement to manufacturing personnel with accuracy and efficiency
-- Sort materials and equipment received and place in appropriate, designated location of the stockroom
-- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and unpacking boxes received to ensure accurate quantities are shipped and received
-- Performs follow-up action to insure all parts are available at the proper time
-- Sustain order and cleanliness of stockroom area to improve efficiency and promote safety within the stockroom and surrounding area by following standards and procedures
-- Contribute to the development of work processes that promote efficiency
-- Participate in trainings and other educational opportunities to stay current with technological advances and knowledge related to the field

Must possess a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: 0 - 2 years? experience in a stockroom environment.
Forklift certification and overhead crane experience required.
Background in heavy equipment and heavy equipment parts preferred.
Understanding of shipping systems used by FedEx and UPS is a plus.
Professional Skills: Must be self-motivated, able to follow directions, and work independently and as a team-player.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are critical.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on a customary and regular basis.
Role Specific Competencies: Must possess reading, writing, and basic math skills to understand product descriptions, document activities and communicate deficiencies.
Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Capacity to handle sudden changes in project/priority and multiple tasks simultaneously in a positive fashion is necessary.
Special Requirements: Must have a valid driver?s license and be certified to operate a forklift in a safe, cautious manner at all times.
Position requires the individual to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in order to perform duties.
Individual must be able to perform the required duties of lifting, pushing and/or pulling weights up to but not to exceed to 50 pounds.
Position will require frequent bending, stooping, and crawling.
Normal work hours will be 9:00AM to 5:30PM.
Both weekend and after hours work will be required as needed.
