ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST Position Type: Regular
Scheduled Hours per 2 week Pay Period: 80
Primary Location: TN > CHATTANOOGA > MOUNTAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICE
Under general supervision, the Accounting specialist computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties
Prepare bank deposits daily.
Prepare Daily Cash reports. Reconcile Daily Cash Report to bank deposits daily.
Prints all checks and payables, or back up for Accounts Payable clerk.
Orders deposit books from the bank. Resolve differences between Daily Cash Report and General Ledger within 30 days.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 1 year of working with Excel spreadsheets
Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, ERP systems (e.g.
Lawson, Oracle), objectives, Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook, and other systems and applications (e.g.
Kronos for time reporting). Skills in planning, organizing, exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, office managers and co-workers.
Some knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
