Requisition ID: 1003 Industrial Regional Sales Manager (West Coast) will be responsible for implementing and supporting sales strategies to gain market share in defined and new accounts within a geographic sales territory.
Will also be responsible for meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets.
Industries to be covered include petroleum production, natural gas production and distribution, food processing, roofing, petrochemical, chemical, packing and engineering companies among others.
General Functions -- Identify and assess sales opportunities with specific accounts and territories
-- Prospect for and develop new accounts
-- Establish and maintain long-term business relationships with customers, including participating in customer entertainment events as appropriate
-- Conduct meetings with the customers decision makers
-- Manage the sales relationship through all levels of customers organizations
-- Recommend solutions based upon customer requirements
-- Maintain contact with new and existing customers on a regular basis
-- Prepare and deliver equipment quotations/proposals to meet customer specifications
-- Conduct price negotiation -- Achieve incremental sales growth
-- Maintain ACT software for all activities
-- Facilitate resolution for billing and Account Receivable issues
-- Provide all aspects of account maintenance
-- Provide customers with product information
-- Provide quotations to customers with product availability, pricing, and order status
-- Manage expense budget -- Complete all required reports, forecasts, and other information that may be requested in a timely manner
-- Provide complete information to facilitate order fulfillment
-- Comply with all Heatec, Inc. and customer safety policies
-- Assist and direct outside independent sales representative network within the territory
-- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to external and internal customers
-- Attend trade shows as required by the Company
-- Expand job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
-- Promote and educate others on Astecs core values
-- Follow company policies, standards and procedures at all times

Bachelors degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred, related Associate degree will be considered
Experience: Three (3) years experience in sales of capital equipment and services is required.
Ideal candidate would be technically savvy and commercially inclined.
Professional Skills: Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
Ability to effectively speak publicly and make presentations before groups is required.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
Must be able to work under pressure and function both independently and as a team player.
Willingness to assist in the development of improved work processes for the department required.
Role Specific Competencies: Must have a solid understanding of heat transfer.
Special Requirements: Living within the service area is highly desirable.
West Coast includes California, Nevada, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii.
Must have a valid drivers license and pass a background check, physical and drug screen.
Position will be scheduled Monday thru Friday.
Extensive travel required within the assigned territory (50 to 75%).
Must be able to drive extensively and air travel.
