Job Summary:
Under general direction, plan, install, maintain, modify and develop company software for the CHI computer systems and the enterprise network.
Provide technical support to staff in solving operating system problems and other complex problems involving systems software or networks.
Integrate various systems utilizing vendor API's or custom integration.
Essential Responsibilities: Monitor, configure, maintain, and develop interfaces between systems.
Implement HL7 interfaces utilizing interface engine.
Perform database tuning and analysis to improve system performance.
Manage projects, plan and implement future IT developments, and support existing system requirements.
Do routine auditing of all systems and reports.
Maintain and create documentation of all IT systems and processes.
Created utilities for the purpose of automating repetitive and daily routines.
Create reports for business users from all primary systems.
Build and maintain Cherwell Help Desk Ticketing System and reporting.
Address any system, SQL, or programming related issues or problems as needed.
Identify malfunctioning software for the purpose of implementing necessary corrective actions, resolving technical problems and providing ongoing support to the IT team for the resolution of complex issues.
Analyze system response and determine tuning recommendations to improve performance.
Develop SharePoint environment and maintain it and all connected systems.
Accurately enter tickets and provide resolutions to work orders.
Meet weekly with IT team and Director of Information Technology.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Be available by email, phone, and/or cell phone for emergencies and work as needed after business hours as well as being one of the primary 24/7 contacts for various service providers in the event of a failure or interruption in service.
Work with users to define system requirements and resolve problems.
Assist the Director of Information Technology with annual budget.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent education and experience
Experience: Five or more years of relevant experience in an information technology field, with at least three years in a software analyst role.
Previous healthcare experience preferred.
License/Certification: None
