We have an opening for Grant Supportive Services Coordinator (100%, Grant funded) at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
Works as part of the Economic and Workforce Development department team assisting in the manage-ment, assessment, and compliance of grants managed by the department such as the AACC Grants.
Uses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, assisting with the management of the grant’s mul-tiple projects in a positive, professional, and effective manner.
Assists with communication among internal/external grant stakeholders and partners including such Chattanooga State Community College and Hamilton County Department of Education departments as Accounting, Academics, Continuing Education, Admissions, and Job Placement Center.
Collaborates with Chattanooga State Community College and Hamilton County Department of Education staff to secure class spaces for apprentice Cohort, secure proper student materials at start of every semester, request additional space for tutoring/independent study, and resolve any unforeseen situations efficiently.Position Requirements:
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; works well with constant interruptions and changing priorities; able to independently organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines and follow-up on various assignments with a minimum level of supervision.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in similar role; experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with data col-lection, data entry, spreadsheet, and interactive database software, Acrobat/Adobe Writer, Banner SIS, Social Media and Web-based communication tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Creates and maintains databases, resolves data integrity issues, and assists in extracting general data for varying reporting functions.
Adheres to grant details and deadlines to ensure full compliance of grant regulations.
Assists with the monitoring of grant activities including budgets, periodic statistical data, and clerical reports in a timely manner.
Monitors grant record keeping procedures for accuracy and completeness of data.
Assists with dissemination of information regarding Chattanooga State Community College and Hamilton County Department of Education grants via various types of media such as social, web, print, and video.
Coordinates meetings and other activities hosted by the grant office as directed by the Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development and arranges for required rooms, equipment, catering, and other items as needed.
The position requires independent thinking, a high-level of organizational and computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a responsive approach to working with diverse students, faculty, and employers.
