Staffing Coordinator POSITION SUMMARY:
Clinical staffing coordinators are involved in providing the facility with clinical nursing and medical staff.
Clinical staff is defined as personnel with direct patient contact.
This includes but not limited to nurses, certified nursing assistants, and all other direct patient contact personnel.
Supports the mission of HCSP and exemplifies The Better Way through leadership and demeanor.
Represents the center in a positive manner both in the medical community and in the community as a whole.
QUALIFICATIONS: Health – Ability to meet performance requirements
Education and Training: High School diploma or equivalent.
Attend in-service programs, as assigned, to learn procedures, develop skills and meet state requirements.
Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Personal
Dependable with an excellent attendance record.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Sensitive to our patients’ physical and psychosocial needs.
Treat all partner information as confidential material.
Tactful and courteous approach with partners and visitors.
Ability to respond to change in a positive and productive manner.
Project a professional image of the facility both internally and externally.
Previous experience with staffing and payroll in the healthcare field preferred.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Physical Demands:
Able to sit 8-12 hours per day. Able to lift 10 to 20 lbs on an occasional basis.
Able to bend, stoop, squat and twist numerous times a day.
Able to speak, read, write, hear/comprehend in order to communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.
Able to carry out fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Required:
Ensuring that all clinical units are adequately staffed using Par-level guidelines.
Create and maintain daily nursing staffing schedules.
Research and resolve staffing and payroll problems in a timely manner.
Answer telephone in a pleasant clear voice.
Screen or transfer calls; taking and delivering messages when appropriate.
Assure that the Staffing Projections are completed and updated as needed for all nursing personnel.
Maintain a Master Listing for partners to reflect current openings and assigned units
Make changes in staffing schedule as indicated by absence and illness and contact additional help to assure staffing levels are maintained in order to meet the care needs of patients.
Recording the daily attendance for the Nursing Department.
Assure partners time is accurate. Assisting with Payroll and Labor Allocations.
Perform other duties as assigned. Assuring Resident Safety
