We have an opening for Simulation Technology Specialist (Nursing & Allied Health) (Grant Funded) at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
Key Functions & Expected Performance: 1 Education and research support ?
Support faculty and other staff in delivering virtual or web-based training ?
Support research and administrative activities ?
Support industry device testing 2 Nursing simulation training and operations ?
Participate in the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and break down of simulation technologies and associated audio visual equipment ?
Ensure timely transitions of simulation events ?
Organize and maintain nursing simulation supply inventory 3 Other duties ?
May participate in scheduling and logistical support for all programs held at HCS Simulation lab ?
Perform other diverse duties as needed to support ongoing training sessions.Position Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent experience required
BA preferred Experience working with standardized patients and simulators
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Major Duties/Critical Tasks: This individual will work with Nursing Simulation Educator and faculty to implement simulation-based educational and assessment activities; responsible for programing, operation, maintenance, and repair of all simulation equipment; participate in staff and client training; recommend new simulation technology as needs arise; respond to direction from the Nursing Simulation Educator; and, assist in general needs of the simulation/skills lab when available.
This staff member needs to be detail-oriented, flexible, self-motivated, and self-directed; able to meet deadlines; be a team player with good problem solving skills; have willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies.
This individual also needs to have experience working with basic computer hardware and software relevant to simulator functions; familiarity with nursing simulation education; and, proficiency in Windows operating systems, wired and wireless networks.
