We have an opening for ADJUCNT INSTRUCTOR (COMPUTER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN) (NIGHT) at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
The Computer Information Technology Adjunct Night Instructor provides the academic and practicum technical education for preparing students for gainful employment in Information Technology upon their completion of the program.
Areas of instruction include supporting end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and configuring and minor repair of mobile devices.
The Night Adjunct Instructor monitors the students’ progress, keeps accurate records of their grades, submits timely reports through the institution’s online platform, and assists in recruiting new students.
This position also involves cultivating good public relations with local business and industry, communicating with an active advisory committee, attending regular faculty meetings and training, and following up with graduates of the program.Position Requirements:
•Technical diploma or equivalent degree in post-secondary education with credentials in Information Technology •Three years of Computer Support experience within the last five years •Microsoft Office Specialist and CompTIA A+ certifications •Organizational and communication skills for effectively teaching, assessing and interacting with students and colleagues
•Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field •CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications •Two years of Tier I Service Desk experience or end-user support •Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students
