We have an opening for Outreach Specialist, Early College at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
Provide support to the director in achieving goals, objectives, and standards for Early College Programs -Represent Early College Programs within the College and to the general public.
-Act as the recruiter for Early College Programs in area high schools maintaining a physical presence in our six county service region.
-Coordinate communication efforts between the Early College office, High School Administrators and students/parents.
-Maintain current knowledge of Chattanooga State programs, curriculum and transfer pathways.
-Stay current by reviewing nationwide academic research relating to best practices, trends, and legislation that affect high school partnership programs and academic advising.
-Responsible for TSAC DE Grant activity on campus and at the HSs; verify/certify grant funding for all Collegiate High and Early College Programs students; work with TSAC point of contact to develop effective communication and website interface.
-Assist students in grant applications and implementation of new online application.
-Serve as the academic advisor for students participating in Early College.
-Perform other job-related duties as assigned Position Requirements:
-Education and training: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, or a related field
Work experience: •2 years of professional experience in K-12 •2 years of professional experience in higher education •Marketing and/or recruiting experience •Academic Advising experience * Bilingual / Spanish
