We have an opening for Assistant Dean, Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Chattanooga State Community College at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
-Supervision of Faculty and Staff: Provide leadership for the staff in the Student Services Department; conduct annual evaluations; oversee the student application, selection, registration, and orientation processes for all TCAT programs and make changes and corrections as necessary each term.
Provide leadership to faculty on eLearn, COE reports, computers and technology, and other projects as assigned.
Supervise faculty as assigned. -Course and Curriculum Development: Assist faculty as needed with 1) the selection of texts, supplemental teaching documents, equipment, supplies, and other learning resources; 2) the development of supplemental instructional materials; 3) the selection and use of current and appropriate technology in preparation, creation and delivery of instruction; 4) maintaining updated course syllabi and eLearn templates; and, 5) participate in pilot studies as necessary to improve course development and design.Position Requirements:
Master of Science degree in related field; minimum five years’ experience in higher education including teaching; and, supervisory experience of faculty and staff.
Doctorate degree; higher education working experience in a technical college (TCAT).
