We take meticulous care in installing the finest American made products and provide extensive warranties and exceptional service.
Current position: Residential Installer
OLP markets to a sophisticated customer. Therefore, candidates will be required to have a clean appearance that supports OLP’s image. For example, candidates will be required to be well groomed and wear OLP logoed shirts.
Scope of hours
Work is hourly, as needed and should generally be between 20 and 40 hours. Most work must be completed during daylight hours. Occasional evening work and Saturdays is required.
Residential Installer Job description.
REPORTS TO: Franchise Owner or Installation Supervisor (if applicable)
SUMMARY Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage electrical wiring, equipment, and lighting fixtures. Act as Outdoor Lighting Perspectives’ representative to provide customer support. Ensure that all company equipment, documentation, and inventories are properly maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Installation of lighting systems in accordance with plans
Speaking with the customer to up-sell other products or services
Provide customer with system orientation if possible
Proper care and operation of company vehicles
Inventory management and replenishment
Running and burying low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns
Installation and load-checking of low voltage transformers
Clean up of all areas affected by installation
Providing direction and/or assistance to other installers when applicable
OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED TO MEET BUSINESS NEEDS
Assisting with home shows
Transporting marketing materials
Neighborhood marketing (hanging door tags), distributing flyers
Maintenance and organization of storage facility
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES
In-depth training and support by OLP will provide necessary knowledge of lighting products, installations, and repair techniques.
Knowledge of Windows operating system
Ability to lift and carry up to forty pounds
Ability to use a trenching shovel for extended periods
Skill with hand tools such as drills and screwdrivers
Ability to apply training to diagnosing and repairing lighting systems
Organized with attention to quality management
Personable and presentable; able to discuss, explain, and upsell clients
Above average technical ability
High finger, hand-arm, and manual dexterity
Telephone used periodically to co-ordinate with supervisors and clients
Tools will be provided by company, but must be properly maintained
Work may be conducted by a team or a solitary installer
Work is conducted outdoors
Work requires standing for extended periods
Installations must conform to strict quality standards
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
Has a driver license and clean driving record
High school diploma or GED
Must be 21 years of age or older
