We have an opening for Preventive Maintenance Mechanic at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
Collect and records data for the preventive maintenance program.
-Makes field measurements and visual inspections.
-Changes oil, changes filters, greases motors, changes belts, adjustments thermostats, tightens nuts and bolts, adjusts pulleys, etc.
-Assists in reporting and anlyzing preventive maintenance information.
-Installs or repairs electrical outlets, lighting fixtures, timers, motor controls, electric motors, air compressors, air conditioning and refrigeration units and a variety of other electrical equipment -Installs or repairs all types of plumbing fixtures, water lines, water heaters, etc.
-Repairs racks and supports, ladders, metal furniture, and sports equipment using an arc welder, brazing torch, and cutting torch -Performs a variety of carpentry tasks in the construction and maintenance of building and other facilities -Coordinates preventive maintenance program -Promote, support, and participate in student recruitment and retention efforts -Perform other job-related duties as assigned Position Requirements:
Education/Experience/Training: Journeyman-level Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical or refrigeration work or high school diploma or GED and three years work Experience with a licensed contractor in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, painting, or air conditioning and refrigeration work
