We have an opening for Coordinator, Functional/Technical Systems at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
Consult with department heads within Student Affairs to identify suboptimal business processes.
When technological solutions are appropriate, suggest and implement strategies to optimize these processes.
Identify weaknesses in built-in error checking and audit trail systems (particularly within Banner).
Develop ad hoc reports to identify errors and potential audit issues in time for corrective action.
Serve as the primary liaison with TBR technical staff for projects affecting Student Affairs.
Advocate for Chattanooga State’s specific needs due to our integrated TCAT, knowing that most TBR-provided solutions must be extensively modified to work in our environment.
Supervise the granting of access to student data within the student information system.
In collaboration with other department heads and with department staff, provide training and support for functional and technical systems in use within Student Affairs.
Training will particularly emphasize upcoming changes within Banner that will affect daily processing tasks.
Maintain an expert-level knowledge of the ad hoc reporting tools available to the College community, including Argos, UC4, Oracle SQL and other tools that may become available in the future.
Maintain awareness of trends and innovation within higher education, with particular emphasis on creative use of systems owned by the College (Banner, Argos, BDMS, etc.).
Within an approved budget, attend webinars, conferences, statewide meetings, and site visits to deepen this knowledge base.
Serve on the Enrollment Management Team, including the analysis of enrollment data and trends, and the development and implementation of strategies to increase enrollment.
Develop and operate within an annual budget, including expenditures, balancing monthly financial reports, compiling and maintaining records for annual and revised budgets for budget organizations supervised.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Position Requirements:
Education and Training: Bachelor’s Degree Work Experience: Three years in an area related to this position (ad hoc reporting, Banner SIS, business process improvement)
Education and Training: Master’s Degree Work Experience: One year of experience with the Argos reporting environment
