INCubator Marketing and Events Coordinator
The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce is looking for a talented marketing and events coordinator to support
our INCubator program by developing and executing marketing strategies to promote awareness of the
INCubator in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and to implement events and programs to assist INCubator clients
and the broader startup community in achieving success in launching entrepreneurial efforts.
The successful candidate must take direction from written and spoken ideas and convert them into clean copy
and attractive, on-brand visuals. They will be familiar with the challenges of startups and creative in proposing
programs and content that will assist entrepreneurs in developing business strategies leading to successful
launch. The position requires an individual who is friendly and easy to get along with, detail- and deadline-
oriented, and well-organized, with the ability to independently juggle multiple projects with minimal oversight.
Essential Functions:
• Engage with partners in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to help build awareness of the INCubator with
partners as well as potential clients
• Update and maintain a marketing plan for INCubator and execute/monitor action items in the plan
• Create and manage events for INCubator clients and the entrepreneurial community that help build a
sense of community among INCubator clients, market the INCubator to potential new clients and create
opportunities for engagement with INCubator alumni
• Assist Director in implementing programs to support INCubator clients including educational and
technical programming
• Coordinate the committee responsible for vetting new clients and providing guidance for
entrepreneurial activities
• Work with Marketing and Economic Development teams to conceptualize and design creative assets for
a range of platforms including websites, social media content, blogs, resource guides, news releases,
columns, features stories, newsletters, and blogs
• Writing and editing, including light copy associated with social media posts and design projects
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience at corporate level
• Effective writing and editing ability
• Competent in Adobe Creative programs
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
Other Helpful Experience:
• Constant Contact, Wordpress, Google Analytics and understanding of SEO
• Podcast editing/production
• Photography and light graphic design
