We have an opening for Coordinator (Custodial Services) at our Chattanooga State campus!

 

The role will be responsible for the following:

- Coordinate all aspects of custodial operations tor Chattanooga State - Prioritize and schedule work for Custodial Services. - Develop standards of cleanliness for the campus. - Develop Daily arid Weekly Tasks lists. - Maintain time and leave records for all employees. - Develop specifications for bidding and selection of all equipment and supplies. - Work with the Purchasing Department to select vendors and schedule shipment of custodial supplies. - Provide appropriate training to all employees. - Select, train, supervise, and evaluate staff in custodial services; make recommendations regarding personnel actions {probation, termination, etc.). - Promote, support, and participate in student recruitment and retention efforts. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

- Education and training: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree (three years work experience in the field for one year education an PS degree and six years of experience). -Experience: Five years of custodial supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range:  $33,670 to $40,400

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge: Knowledge of cleaning methods, supplies, and custodial equipment Including buffers, vacuums, and shampooers; supervisory methods. - Skills: Skills ln communication consistent with reading and understanding operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules and regulations, standard policies, procedures, and guidelines; explaining and demonstrating appropriate procedures for job performance to small groups: interpersonal skills consistent with supervising other employees, maintaining confidentiality flexibility, and open-mindedness and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. - Abilities: Ability to prioritize and coordinate services for multiple sites; to adapt to changing schedules and work demands; to supervise a diverse work force throughout a 24-hour work schedule; to evaluate situations and make appropriate decisions using sound judgment; to recognize and resolve problems.
