We have an opening for Teaching Technician (Electrical/Electromechanical) at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
Assist instructors on multiple campuses (including The Volkswagen Academy) in instruction, lab setup and cleanup, equipment installation and maintenance in the areas of electrical, motor controls, mechatronics, automated controls, and other electrical related courses. Course instruction duties will also be assigned as needed.
Position Requirements:
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Systems, Mechatronics, Automated controls or a closely related discipline; or industry-recognized certification (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Fanuc, etc.) with at least 2 years work experience in electrical, motor controls, advanced manufacturing, programmable logic controllers, systems integration, networking, industrial robotics, or electromechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching Experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Responsible for instruction and lab related duties for electrical or electromechanical related programs of study. -Assistance of in-class course delivery for the knowledge-based portion of the curriculum. -Assistance of online course delivery for the knowledge-based portion of the curriculum. -Assistance of labs related to the above coursework. -Serve the needs of the College, the division, the faculty, and the students.
