CHATTANOOGA TIMES FREE PRESS is seeking a full-time MARKETING & EVENTS COORDINATOR.

We are currently looking for a Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our team.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies and events that enhance brand visibility, engage customers, and drive business growth. We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced environment. This position works closely with cross-departmental teams and must be capable of contributing high-value strategic direction across multiple projects within deadline and budget. Job Duties:

  • Coordinate and execute events: Oversee planning and execution of all aspects of event strategy; Develop and order event sales materials, Create event financials, sponsorship packages, and timelines; Manage sponsorship relationships to ensure CTFP obligations are met; Coordinate event promotion through various advertising mediums.
  • Marketing, PR & Communications: Serves as a key role in community relations, helps manage trade advertising, CTFP and event brands.
  • Regular and timely attendance at company facility for all assigned shifts.
  • Flexibility in task assignments: Tasks may vary periodically, and the employee must be willing to adapt to the needs of the organization.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategies that align with the company's marketing goals, target audiences, and brand guidelines.
  • Content Creation: Create, collaborate or distribute high-quality, engaging, and relevant content for various marketing channels, including videos, photos, social media posts, graphic design, copy, email campaigns and more.
  • SEO Optimization: Apply search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to optimize content for improved visibility and organic search rankings.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain brand consistency and voice across all marketing content to reinforce the brand identity and increase brand recognition.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design and product, to gather information and insights for content creation.
  • Content Promotion: Develop strategies for promoting and distributing content effectively through various channels, such as social media platforms, email marketing and community partnerships.
  • Content Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement rates, conversion rates, and social media analytics, to evaluate the effectiveness of content and make data-driven improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • College degree or 5 years of experience in marketing and event planning.
  • Proven Experience: Previous experience as a content creator, copywriter, or in a similar role within a marketing team. A portfolio of previous work is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Excellent command of written English, with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to craft compelling and persuasive content tailored to different audiences and marketing channels.
  • Creativity and Storytelling: Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills to develop content that engages and resonates with the target audience.
  • SEO Knowledge: Understanding of SEO principles and experience in optimizing content for search engines.
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, including social media marketing, email marketing, and content distribution.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze content performance data and make data-driven decisions to improve content effectiveness.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency across all tasks.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
