Police Officer

The City of New Hope, Tennessee, is currently hiring two part-time duty Police Officers.

Job Overview: As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the City of New Hope community. You will work collaboratively with fellow officers and various agencies to protect citizens, prevent crime, and uphold the principles of justice. This position requires integrity, physical fitness, quick decision-making abilities, knowledge of local law enforcement and a commitment to serving and protecting our community and citizens.

Requirements to Apply:

· Must be 21 years of age or older

· Have a High School Diploma or equivalent

· Must be “P.O.S.T Certified” (Peace Officer Standards & Training)

· Have 1+ years experience

· Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history and drug screening.

· Excellent physical condition and stamina to perform required duties effectively


Key Qualifications:

· Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure, make quick, sound decisions in stressful situations.

· Ability to work smoothly as part of a team and/or with other law enforcement agencies.

· Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality.

· Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays when required.


Schedule, Benefits & Salary:

· This is a Part-Time position with 10-hour shifts on Friday and Saturday

· No benefits because the position is part-time status

· Hourly wages are negotiable depending upon certification and experience
