Job Summary
The Event Production Specialist collaborates with the Campus Events Manager and is responsible for coordinating and performing the setup and breakdown of campus functions and events. Service responsibilities include but are not limited to chairs, tables, and basic audiovisual equipment.

Job Duties
- Perform set-ups for campus functions and events including but not limited to: chairs, campus signage, and portable stages.
- Set-up or set-up and operation of audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for events, meetings, and presentations.
- Conduct training sessions on the selection, use, and design of audio-visual materials.
- Conduct training sessions on the operation of presentation equipment (ie: audio-visual).
- Maintain a working knowledge of multimedia production equipment, used across campus(s).
- Maintain related supply inventory and equipment used for campus functions and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of related experience is required.
- Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attentive to detail, flexible, and manage stressful situations.
- Possess strong interpersonal communication skills and maintain focus with job responsibilities.
- Willingness to work extended and flexible hours (including nights/weekends), based on need.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees across the campus.
- Ability to execute tasks based on instruction
- Ability to perform job-related task for extended periods of time, which can include unfavorable climatic conditions.
- Knowledge of procedural aspects related to audio/visual equipment.
- Manage multiple functions and events simultaneously while prioritizing competing deadlines.
- Ability to work safely from equipment such as but not limited to ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
- Ability to transport more than 50 pounds safely and independently
Equipment
Work activities routinely involve work personal computers, audio/visual equipment, operations equipment (ie: ladders, scaffolding, etc.).
Location
The main campus of Cleveland State Community College is the primary workplace. However, travel may be required throughout the college’s five county service area.
