Process Engineer
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads process to identify root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Assists other team member in meeting plant and company objectives.
- Designs and implements new process changes within the facility by analyzing workflow.
- Works with metallurgical technical personnel to optimize processes to ensure quality, manufacturing, productivity and efficiencies.
- Provides clear and concise documented standard operating procedures on key processes.
- Applies proven engineering knowledge and practices in a metallurgical environment to improve operating performance and reduce waste, delays and costs.
- Develops and implements and of key reliability metrics to measure performance.
- Provide daily quality support to production staff, recommends and oversees improvements through the implementation of new processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: BS in Engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, metallurgical, materials
science or industrial) Minimum of 5 years in process/quality engineering preferably in
metal processing environments Ability to work independently with very limited
supervision
Self Starter with change agency mentality
Sense of urgency and results oriented
Strong problem-solving, training , organizational, documentation, computer, and
mentoring capabilities Strong team-building, people management, and decision
making skills
Preferred Skills
● Knowledge: plant facilities and equipment, plant and laboratory safety procedures and
processes
● Skills: Outlook, Excel, MS Office Suite and SAP, attention to detail
● Abilities: Task-oriented, ability to plan, implement, and complete tasks, excellent
communication skills
