Family Advocate
The Southeast Tennessee Development District is seeking a Family Advocate for the
Relative Caregiver Program (RCP).
Responsibilities include providing case management and family advocacy to relative
caregivers raising non-birth children within a 9-county region, conducting in-home
assessments, developing, and coordinating service plans, conducting outreach,
organizing support groups, educational workshops, and enrichment activities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal),
be able to maintain confidential information, and be able to work independently and with
a team. Candidates must be able to establish and maintain positive and effective
working relationships with internal/external contacts and partners.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in a human or social service field. Candidates with the
ability to effectively determine the needs of relative caregivers and match those needs
with appropriate services as demonstrated by training or experience may be
considered.
