MKT SVP CMO JOB SUMMARY: To serve in the role of senior hospital physician, reporting to the CEO and serving as a peer with other administrators at the same level.
Primary responsibilities include leadership regarding performance in medical management and patient care, reduction of medical errors particularly in medications, patient safety initiatives, quality and service excellence, pharmacy cost control, physician relations and physician leadership development, implementation of clinical information systems, medical staff affairs support, and ongoing physician education.
In the performance of these duties, the CMO will serve in a peer role with the other members of the senior management team, and will partner with the elected leadership of the medical staff, interfacing with the Board of Directors as required.Education:
Advanced Medical degree Experience: 4 to 6 years in formal leadership role in organization similar to MHCS, preferably in role which is VPMA equivalent.
Equipment/Skills: Must possess working knowledge of clinical care management, healthcare finance, and best practices.
Credentials from organizations of high repute.
Stature as a clinician; successful experience in private practice.
